I've always thought that Rashid is viewed in the same way as Tredwell was - ie the selectors tolerate his presence in the side for as long as they can't find a "better" alternative. It might be that he finds himself permanently out of the limited over sides before long too.
On the flip side, it might be that England plan to only play one spinner at Lords, in a support role for the seamers, and see Dawson more as the direct replacement for Moeen.
