Well there are plenty of clearly poor spinners who could be selected to bolster the batting. Rashid is a different kettle of fish entirely. He's a more genuine batsman too, I think.

PS. I meant more genuine batsman than the majority of the bad spinners who can bat a bit like Blackwell, Batty, Dalrympyle. Loudon probably is a better batsman than Rashid, at least at the moment but he barely counts as a part time spinner at present.
