Although when SA batted a second time, it clouded over and became difficult late on day four. In Durban conditions can change quickly and there is always a chance of assistance overhead. One thing though is that it generally favours spin later on so there needs to be a pretty convincing case to give up the advantage of batting first. Given that England's openers are a tad vulnerable, the early loss of wickets may not have been just due to the conditions.
