Who'd have thought we'd have achieved such a thumping victory in the first test? A number of players really stepped up to the plate but I think there's a very good case for Compton to open with Cook.
No doubt, there will have been some criticism of Bairstow's keeping on here, and some of it deserved. His runs, and the manner in which he got them in this test, whatever anyone thinks about having a "proper" keeper in the team, should see him keep the gloves for the series.
