Where are all these leaks coming from? I have read that any information on match fixing given to the ICC is strictly confidential.

I think I will have to read 'Bookie Gambler Fixer Spy' now.

Ed Hawkins is the man for this stuff. Chris Cairns has admitted he is X but hasn't admitted to fixing.

It isn't just cricket that has this problem though. Football appears to have plenty of trouble.

Had a feeling Arif was the other one involved from looking at scorecards.

The Sussex message board is still 'under maintenance'. Such a sad state of affairs.

He got released and wasn't here last season. He was very much just filling a hole in the squad. I just hope there weren't any dodgy ideas behind his and Vincent's signing that go higher up the food chain.

looks like the ECB wont charge anyone until its confirmed a Pakistani is involved. This story has been out there ages. Ed Hawkins has five more games and a few players to expose yet. Daily Mail under embargo so he is looking to offload the truth elsewhere. ECB cover up yet again. I think you guys will be shocked by the next name to come.

Nothing like a bit of casual racism eh? Still it makes a change from the homophobic posts.

Can the ECB charge Vincent? He is in Otago laying low at the moment. Can he be extradited for this?

I'm not sure I'd call that casual racism. Sadly the way things have been drip fed I'd be surprised if it was just this odd game under investigation, in the same way I never believed the Essex players were just one offs.

I think the ECB are generally keen to blame Pakistan for all crickets woes, and so close to racism.

A bit paranoid. It seems to be New Zealanders mainly involved. Just one Pakistani under investigation it seems.

I see Sky are still showing that Unibet ad where Graeme Swann says cricket is a good game to bet on because there are so many markets...

Another match fixing controversy in cricket is pushing me even further toward the minor counties game. Surely the Indian bookmakers couldnt give a hoot about that level?!

I wouldn't count on it. There are those who want to bet on two flies crawling up a wall.

The ECB can't suck and blow at the same time.

They have been paid millions, reportedly, in sponsorship and advertising revenues by the betting industry and now the integrity of the domestic competitions is being brought under scrutiny. Again. And anti-corruption agencies are huffing and puffing about leaks to the media.

I don't usually like quoting Pringle - he is rather insufferable - but his recent Telegraph article on the emerging scandal speaks of the long-time unholy alliance between gambling and cricket. When a problem has taken root over many, many years, there can be no quick fix.
