Take an early lunch/tea ffs. No point in them coming back out now. Apologies to Brisbane. Called it the new Manchester. Back to bed and TMS for me.

A. This is Adelaide not Brisbane.
B. More time is lost to rain at Edgbaston than Old Trafford.

Wasn't entirely serious MF. I had a go during the Brisbane test when they came off for rain there. Manchester is warmer and wetter than Headingley. Aggers just mentiioned Middlesborough! Can we settle on that?

Hopefully this will work in England's favour. Must pitch the ball up, whatever the conditions.

This rain is nature's way of saying day/night test matches are wrong.

Two balls out of 13.4 overs which would have hit the stumps is not good enough for experienced, not so quick, bowlers.

Rain is nature's way of sticking two fingers up at cricket and telling the human race not to be so stupid.

Annoying but will work in Englands favour if they get back out today with dusk coming and a new(ish) ball.

MPV and Tuffers are worried about mutinous feelings within the camp. They believe (T & V) that the curfew was unnecessary given that Management had already said the Bairstow incident was a lot of fuss about nothing.

The question is, why couldn’t the team have had energy and commitment from the start?

Are England going to have to scuttle off the field to get home before curfew?

C'mon England. Bowl at the f****** stumps. Now we get a run out. This is turning into a series where we have to consider who has the team brain cell. Bancroft and Warner? Absolute madness.

England finally make a break through and it's a run out.

Woakes making up for his woeful bowling with a sharp throw.

I reckon that run out was due more to Sir Stuart Broad's bowling putting Warner under pressure.
