Good stuff by Koala. Swing away at the quick before England remember his weakness is Spin.

Swann made an observation that stoneman is fielding in the deep with shin pads on. In a world of continuous improvement where they try and get every tiny advantage they can with diet, hydration etc it seems odd that they let someone wear pads which slow them down when fielding in the deep.

With Koala bear-ly breaking sweat, the League cup final will butt in soon and bring further depression..or maybe not..

Nowadays the question should be..'why are they not wearing black arm bands'..always seems to be someone dying or just died.

Jimmy bowling beautifully at the moment, but this must be the slowest bowling attack we've ever fielded. Never realised Overton was only 80mph. Moeen on now.

I'm guessing they're for the umpire Russell Evans who died a couple of days ago.

He is the same pace as broad - as I have said many times. His brother is quicker.

Jamie Overton is a good deal quicker but is regularly on the treatment table. On the few occasions I've seen Somerset at either London ground over the last few years I thought Jamie was the one with potential. When I watched Craig bowl he was nothing special at all IMO but he one of the medium-medium fast toilers who does well in the county championship. Plenty before have done that and not looked remotely threatening when given a go at test level. As GBG knows, a typical example of a tall bowler of a similar pace looking rather innocuous at test level was Tim Munton.

The fun that we used to have winding Kim up about him.

All the hall marks of another crushing defeat.

Strange decision to bowl first and watching our attack toil is testament to needing runs on the board to build pressure. Whether we would have got them is another matter, of course.

Broad used to be quick, Overton never has been but it not his fault he has been picked. Fact is, we are on plan E with the bowling attack now and the game is crying out for Stokes or Wood to inject some life.

Terrible toss decision.

Bad drop by Stoneman.

We just don’t have the bowling to challenge Oz. 5-0 looking probable.

Anderson always looks so much less dangerous here than when we play them on English turf.

His bowling against Australia in general has been ordinary. Averages 33 at home and 39 in away Ashes series.

Root is a fricking idiot. An absolute shambles of a mockery of a farce of a skipper. But look on the bright side; earlier in this thread I happened to notice a post by an Australian without any pseudo-racist cr@p about Khawaja in it. Five points if you can spot which one.
