KP, on the other hand, came across as someone who just wanted to win a game of cricket.

Ironically, it was Pietersen who had the reputation of being the selfish one (I imagine KP was difficult to work with in the sense of having a very clear belief in how to win and you'd have to take time to explain to him and win him over on alternative course of actions but he was someone who'd give his all for the cause and even his detractors concede nobody worked harder).

How often do other sides win when make 300?

I would suggest still far more won that lost.
I thought you did statistics for a living? Have you moved to Brexit Central?

OK, this may have been my fault but can we keep any accusations of Sir Virgs being a gammon to the politics/news threads please.

Not so much World Cup and Beyond now as just World Cup Ahead.

So far this year the lowest score successfully defended is 371/7 and the lowest score by a chasing team 326ao off 49 overs.

I love golf. I turn 40 this year and plan to be working 4 days a week by the end of it. The extra day off will involve golf and exercising.

Please keep golf chat to the politics thread.

If you want to discuss why you are using your spare time on a hobby like golf instead of playing/watching cricket then the appropriate thread is this.

What's wrong with golf? I play every weekend - took it up when the knees said no to keeping wicket anymore.
