You have to admire Ben Stokes' tenacity this series. However, do we really want him batting like that so often?

Odd days cricket this. The Buttler will get us back on track. Him and Curran.

Most in England would too, looking at how some of the others have been batting.

The way England was building the platform, I expected them to really open up sometime during the second session and go after the Indian bowlers in the third. Having reached home, I was surprised to see that England is still scoring slowly, lost 5 wickets in total and probably handed India a slight advantage. Of course, the generous visitors that we have been, I am sure the favour would be returned very soon, mostly if and when Curran comes in to bat.

India bowled too well for us to really try and open up, if I was batting during that I'd have been hoping to make it to tea and that the seamers would struggle in their third or fourth spells after the break. Shame there's no Woakes to take "advantage" next to Curran!

That's something I'm noticing with this Indian bowling attack. Earlier, we would have lost the intensity and started bowling a lot more loose deliveries, but this bunch have kept up the pressure, dried up runs and been at the batsmen. If only our batsmen backed up the bowlers...

Finally, Moeen's 'luck' runs out! I thought England would score 400+ but now I feel it would be criminal if we let England score anything more than 220. Realistically, though, I think you guys will end up with 270 or so.

Some of those byes have been rather unfair to Pant. How's he supposed to catch it!

Yup they've really impressed, they did on our tour to India a couple of years ago but they've been even better here (using conventional seam and swing compared to reverse swing in India).

In to the strength of Englands batting now!

Ok literally posted that as he knicked it, obviously my fault!

LOL! Curran gone!!! So, this is how we should have got Curran, trying to make him leave late.

Our quicker bowlers weren't always known to keep things tight, and that has changed in recent times. That is helping them build up pressure and create chances.

All you Englishmen who're despairing, don't worry. Our batting has been terrible consistently, so it isn't yet time for you guys to lose hopes. Plus, we've struggled in cleaning up the tail. I predict England finishing around 250, now that Curran's gone.

Why do they have a soft signal? Are they supposed to give a soft signal?
