Yeah, some of the Hampshire players looked interested. Super knock from McManus and Tom Alsop played some cracking shots in his fifty. Was very enjoyable. Balcombe's agricultural and oft kamikaze innings late on was very entertaining as well!
Were there any facilities such as food/drink available? Is there somewhere to sit at the Nursery Ground?

Also was there a scorecard or other means of identifying players? When I went to Surrey 2s at The Oval last year they printed one.

Yeah, food and drink served from what was the old golf clubhouse overlooking the Nursery Ground but i didnt see any scorecards floating around.

There are some wooden seats dotted around but i used a fold up seat as the wooden seats were mostly taken up when i got there at lunchtime.

Strange Hampshire didn't enforce the follow-on, bearing in mind the weather forecast is showery tomorrow.

Practically all the counties seem to deliberately stretch these games out to close to a full 3 days as possible these days. The days of bundling the uni out twice for an afternoon in the pub seem long gone.

Of the matches played so far this season, the county have batted first in 11 of them and the uni in 3.

Congrats to Gus Kennedy and Will Vandespar, who topped the English First Class batting averages for 2014 at 158.0 and 85.0 respectively.
