As you say it's about flexibility and getting the best from the players you choose. If we're 40-4 after 15 overs I'd rather be saving Buttler for a late order surge and putting in Woakes or Rashid to try and steady the ship for 15 overs.

Plunkett seems to perform well with only a few overs left to bat, Willey seems to really struggle in the same situation which is one of the reasons I'd like to see him given a go opening if they're going to play him anyway.

Willey hasnít been great at the end, but heís certainly not better than Hales, Roy or Bairstow at the top of the order, so it would be strange if he replaced one of them.

I like that England have put Root down to 4 finally. Wood instead of Willey from the usual bowling lineup.

Nice to see Tye get a call up, well sort of nice in that he's really impressed me for the last couple of BBL seasons (hoping he goes all round the park against England obviously).

I think Australia have missed a trick in not picking Maxwell or even D'arcy Short especially with Lynn being injured.

England win the toss and bowl first as per normal, probably more likely to win but I do like watching us bat first these days.

Looks like we have to put up with the Channel 9 commentators. We need to get Stoinis quickly methinks.

Well yeah but I was hoping I wouldn't have to listen to him for any period of time after he emigrated.

Aussie commentators seeming to think this is some kind of monster target for England, I think England will be happy to chase it on a good batting wicket obviously the Aussie bowlers will have a say. 300 is the new 250.

Well Bairstow gone now, Greg Shipperd of the Sydney Sixers will be searching for hair to pull out if he's watching this though.

Just as in Bristol, Hales will have to watch on as someone else takes on the big hits.

Need some boring nurdling for 15 overs now.

Why has our best opener been dropped down the order to bring in Bairstow?
