Woakes is a brilliant cricketer. A product of county cricket. Well done chaps. This is as one sided as the ashes. COPY THE BIG BASH NOW.

Proof that scores of around 270 are no longer near par scores.

Indeed. Morgan's leadership of this team is second to none. I think his stints in the IPL are rubbing off, he just has so much knowledge of the white ball game now. I'm struggling to see how Stokes gets in the team.

Someone on TMS said it has to do with victory, which would make it a newly spelled derivation from Sanskrit, as in Jai Krishna, the famous Finsbury Park cafe.

Their names might suggest otherwise, though ... remember Blofeld's "Hazelcrack" (i.e. crack of cane on bot)?

Another very straightforward victory for England. When I woke to see the Aussies 250-6 off 47 overs I assumed it was a poor wicket. Not the case. England didn't even need to bat particularly well to haul this in with 6 overs to spare. It didn't help that the Aussies only picked 2 proper bowlers.

I'm struggling to understand how Nathan Lyon doesn't improve this team, especially since he's had a couple of good games in the Big Bash.

The Aussie batting looks utterly confused once the openers are gone. Those 2 know their game, not sure anyone else does. The order is wrong and is seemingly lacking firepower. Again, fail to see how Maxwell wouldn't improve the line up coming in at 5 or 6.

England haven't been overly stretched to chase down these totals and need to go for the jugular.

Nice little all-round performance from Woakes.

Took a wicket and two run outs as he went for 37 runs off 54 with the ball whilst scoring 39* with the bat off 27.

Yeah not sure what's going on with Australias selection policy, I can understand them resting cummins and Hazlewood being ill but why no Zampa to keep a bit of experience there.

That's apart from them not picking Short or Maxwell in the squad, Australias batting lineup just not powerful enough without those two or Lynn unless Warner or Finch hits a monster score on these tracks and that's not enough especially when those two are opening the batting.

Australians were pretending the ODIs don't matter, at 2-0 down they suddenly matter a lot, they are melting hard right now.

England are a completely different team in the ODIs, they're full of confidence.

Eoin Morgan is such a cool hand on the tiller, why is he not the test captain? He frees up Root to be a much better player too.

Tye looks short of the class required and Stoinis and Marsh should be competing for the same spot. Surely Maxwell will come back in once they feel he's been given the kick up the arse he needs. Australia do have lots of options going into the World Cup so I don't think they need to panic just yet, even if this is a whitewash.
