Yorkshire did well considering how depleted they were. Also no overseas player even with the New Zealand board playing silly watsit's over Kane Williamson. Didn't think they had a chance at the start.

Leiscter Tigers v Lancs Something or others. Grace Road always seems a tad flat and lacking atmos? Saw W. Indies v Scotland in a World cup game there a few years back. Fun short day then.

I saw him make a delightful century at Hove eight years ago. Didn't expend too much energy running ones and twos but timed the ball deliciously with seemingly minimal effort. Also saw him make a fifty at the MCG four years ago when his reduced athleticism did cost him (run out).

someone said Gatting and Milburn couldn't play for England these days due to bleep tests and all that. Also presume Colin Cowdrey couldn't either.

It's a crying shame. A major reason for me first getting into cricket was that it could be played, successfully, by speccies, skinny weeds, fatties & shorties. (I satisfied three of those outcast categories).

Poor effort from the square leg umpire there.

He really should have caught that.

Turned it around to move ahead of tonight's opponents in the table, and only 2 points behind the leaders.

Middlesex, less than 2 years since their moment of triumph, are having a pretty ordinary all round season.

Excellent. It worked. Our team would be excellent if like my lad's cricket everyone had to bowl 2 overs. All 10 fielders can bowl - although hildreth would be pushing it.
