Nicholas having another good one. Apparently the Saffers won't mind Starc running on the pitch and making foot marks for Lyon as it will also help them when they bowl...or something lol.

I'll weigh into the is Koala a **** bloke or not argument as the only person who has even a second hand account of him personally. I have a mate who roomed with Koala on a couple of Colts (nsw development squad) tours, his words were 'the loveliest bloke you could ever meet.' He did not have similarly kind words for many other NSW players. That said, he is best mates with SOK who might be the shittest bloke of all.

All looks very grim for Saffers now. They need to make some changes ahead of the next test. Maybe encourage a few blokes to retire sooner than later. It's worked for the bowling unit getting the next gen through.

Or maybe plug the leak from South Africa to Southampton.

He very rarely can take control of an innings and sets a poor tone aggression wise
He hurts our batting line up imo, cant wait to see the back of him.
He rarely fires when the pressures on and we really need him, he bats with little purpose, hes a little pussy and unAustralian imo.
Fek him off and bring in somebody with some ticka.

But he did poo himself half way through a rugby game and carried on for the rest of the match, so...

I think the real issue is that their batting has been poor for a few years now and the decline of Amla and AB/Faf has only exacerbated this. Markram looks like he has some of the right stuff but they need 3 or 4 blokes to come through. They seem well stocked with quick bowlers mind.

If at first you don't succeed, moan until the umpires change the ball.

Oddly, it was the same way his mother gave birth to him.

Hazelwood is underrated. In many ways the first bowler i'd pick for the Australian team. But then they're all so good and work best as a unit. What a quartet.

A nice little innings from Markram. Could run out of partners. The fat lady is warming her voice.

Even still, they will be disappointed to lose heavily in the first match.

The only mitigating factor is that it was a very good toss for the visitors to win.
Don't know about the downward trajectory, after all they did win the series against India. Doubt they'll win this series though.

Yeah, good on him. Hopefully it gives the selectors the confidence to blood a few more young blokes like Mulder and Klaasen.
