Security worries not just in subcontinent

It would seem that it is not merely the subcontinent where security worries crop up for cricketers.

Sri Lanka cancel Oxford visit over security fears

This has nothing to do with cricket, but everything to do with the defeat of the LTTE.

The UK and particularly London has has been one of the largest sources of terrorist funding for the LTTE in past years and there are still a lot of sympathisers in this country. For years they had an official fund raising office in central London which the government refused to do anything about - The situation was exactly the same as the Noraid fundraising for the provisional IRA in the USA in the past.

Now the LTTE has been crushed militarily in Sri Lanka I expect a few sporadic revenge attacks around the world and the UK would be the most likely place.
