Oh and you've forgotten Trott as a batsman, which is probably his main role.
How could I miss him? Now corrected.

Players in both Test and ODIs Top 10

Smith, Chanderpaul, Ponting, Kallis
Steyn, Bond, Anderson

JA is evidently, belatedly, getting the recognition he merits. Now, just keep it up for the next 12 months and we'll all become believers.

He was last ranked 8th back in 2003 and with his poor year in 2008 there is really nothing belated about the recognition now. He has been making steady progress this year, back into the top 10.

I think it's Ray Price, a Zimbabwean slow left armer. Rating inflated by playing lots and lots of games against the Banglas.

He had a period of bad form in ODIs in 2008 and coming into this year, perversely when he seemed to be improving in tests (most players have these, amazingly). Its good for us to see him back in form in the shorter format, which I think is more suited to his game. I still seem as being an intermittent strike bowler in tests.

England has climbed slightly in the rankings while SA has dropped to third. Pietersen has slipped just out of the top twenty, while Smith has dropped five places after his shocking series. Collingwood's good series has seen him achieve a career high ranking, while Broad has also risen up the scales.

Great to see Anderson back into the ODI top 10 and that Broad is back in there as well.

Where is Mahmood KYS? Is he that bad that you've missed him off altogether?

Now updated. When I put his full name in nothing came up but just his surname brought results.

India are apparently now top of the ICC test ranking for the first time after their win in the third test v SL.

Anderson and Swann have swapped places in the rankings. Harris up to 7th.

Pietersen and Strauss have also swapped.

Erm, I think you are being deliberately naive in order to get a reaction!

That would of course be Zaheer and not Amjad, but you already know that.

Amjad Khan, however, might just be clinging on to tenth place in the ranking of England-qualified bowlers.

There has been a bit of shuffling in the rankings after the two pre-Christmas tests down south.
