Well, as a lad, he probably saw Matt Walker score more runs against Essex than any other player. For a similar reason, I rate Clive Radley way above Gower and Lara.

Who's Sir Phil? Can't be Tufnell as their are about 100 better spinners to have played international cricket. Edmonds wouldn't be much better.
