I see that the BBC has published that it is Gulam Bodi who was named as the intermediary charged with the offence. http://www.bbc.com/sport/cricket/35313999

Sadly I think the game is rife with this and has been for decades. There's no quick fix. I wouldn't be shocked if some absolute cricketing legends have been involved either.

I agree. The old boys still laugh about how the Aussies backed England at headingley in 81. Imagine that now!

How many former SA keepers have played in the RamSlam this year?

That match as totally legit, nobody could play against Botham in that game, he was a force of nature.

I would be more circumspect over teams that don't pay their stars much.

Mail reporting two SA test players being investigated. They have not played in the current series though.

Petersen banned for two years for not reporting match fixing and covering up what his team mates have been doing.

Am I the only one who has always assumed that the majority of T-20 matches (certainly domestically) are fixed?

Many in India have questioned how the Dhoni-captaining and N Srinivasan-owning Chennai Super Kings always got to the last stages of IPL year after year.

Probably most test matches too. 477 on first innings only to lose by a heavy innings defeat? I mean, come on....no team is that bad. Are they???

I don't think England are that bad. I think they lost the game on purpose.

Quite a few people are that cynical and I can understand why but I don't think you could easily fix that many games without it leaking out. The Betfair crowd is especially suspicious of most Pakistani players, the BPL as a whole and more than one West Indian. I'm not sure whether this is racism or not but the Betfair forum is at least moderately multi national.

Quite a funny incident during the t20 yesterday when Ricky Ponting and Mark Waugh were crossing to Haddin live and Waugh made some smart remark about haddin trying on an appeal for nothing to which Haddin replied "what's the pitch doing Junior?" And was abruptly cut off.

Then Ponting sang the Barmy Army song about it

The cricketing highlight of the year. Find the full video so you can see the look on Pontings face when he stares in silence as Mark Waugh claims to have 'forgotten' what the song was about and then proceeds to squirm and die on the inside live on air is almost worth to having to suffer through the inane junk that comes out of juniors empty skull ad infinitum. I do wonder how much he pocketed for the selection of Maddinson too.

Yeah, full vid from start was great work from punter. In fact punter was into junior all night. Haddins comment was sharp to begin with. It is definitely what started the rot for Waugh

That's priceless from Punter and fine work from Haddin. Lol, I remember singing that song when it first came out in the stands during the 98/99 tour!
