Ah the paradox of T20. Sell tickets, particularly when taken to places like Taunton that dont regularly host international matches, and then the supporters are treated with disdain by chopping and changing of the team, trivialising the import of the series even more. (As if it wasnt trivial enough) But then how many people really care that Morgan isnt playing? As long as some sixes are smote it doesnt matter whether its Morgan or someone else.

Either way, the ECB / English cricket's treatment of its paying public is atrocious. But if people keep paying the money that will continue.

Careful. You'll get Ed Bevan all upset if you diss Cardiff too much.

Really strange that Morgan has rested himself. For what? There's no more one day stuff for a month or so now so why? Some really strange decisions... unless of course Morgan has decided to requalify for Ireland.

Makes no sense whatsoever when we are talking a deciding 20 over contest. England's next white ball encounter is not until September, so "rest" is no sort of real issue.

If I'd have paid good money for an England game ticket and they had the temerity to bat Liam Plunkett at 7 I would be demanding a refund and writing a very strongly worded letter to Andrew Strauss.

T20's not really aimed at me and you though is it.

We are foolish enough to still believe that success is judged by what happens on the field whereas it is rapidly becoming the case that success is judged by .

Malan's fun comes to an end. Will Livingstone or Billings be able to prove something here.

Oh dear. Billings out cheaply and Livingstone out for a Golden Duck. Lucky we have Plunkett at 7 to help us get to 200 eh?

England's decision to play Billings and Livingstone worked then?
Could end up 10-15 short here.

I thought I read somewhere a week or two ago that a decision had already been taken to release YJB after the second T20? He was never going to play in this game anyway as far as I knew?

It's not me doing the dissing. I was thinking of England being thrashed by Pakistan and Morgan not fancying more of the same on this ground.

We need Cumbria's Liam Livingstone to demonstrate he can do more than clog up the middle overs first before we get rid of a proven match winner.

Livingstone tried to be too clever and paid the price.

My theory is that they wanted Billings and Livingstone to have another go in the middle order. That means either Morgan or Buttler giving up their place. Perhaps if Morgan was concerned about saving face then it should have been Buttler. If we win, then it'll all be forgotten about.
