Bowled well here. Crane's celebration when he got AB was sweet.

I don't get David Willey. I'm sorry.

You should be sorry. He's a left handed and offers variety that the others don't.

He's very good with the new ball, pretty to very poor with an older one, problem is Morgan and seemingly Buttler don't just bowl him out at the start (in T20) or 7/8 in the first 20 of a 50 over game.

Variety means naff all if yer bowling's a bit shoddy and unless he's bowling with a new ball it tends to be.

Well he's still our best twenty 20 bowler, so he plays.

Malan a class apart in the match. England have ridiculous depth.

Promising debut series from Curran, Malan and Crane then. Less so for poor old Liam Livingstone. What was he thinking?

Match-winning performance from the debutant, followed up by solid bowling gets the job done in relative comfort. Eoin who?

I really like Curran's yorkers. Suggests he has some real skill.

I don't think it's a contest between the two of them.

Livingstone hasn't had the best of debuts.

No. One would normally say he'll definitely get another chance but with England's batting depth, it's not guaranteed.

TMS team were going on about how Morgan had said everyone in the squad would get a game but Overton didn't. A bit like when he said Roy would play the whole CT but he didn't. Anyway there's obviously nothing wrong with Roy, can't really see why he didn't.

It's easy to read too much from T20, too, but I like how he's come straight into the international set up in fairly average form and performed well immediately. Suggests there's a very good mindset there.

I guess you can plan for things but have to alter them if necessary. I'm surprised Overton didn't get a game at Taunton.

By the way how can Cardiff not fill all the seats for a T20? They should just bulldoze the ground and pretend giving them international status ever happened.

Malan was absolutely sensational on debut. I expect he will get further opportunities later in the summer. Tom Curran is clearly got a long international career ahead of him. Nice to see Crane get his first international wicket too.

From what I've seen, Currans has a bit more talent and may end up a genuine all-rounder. However, given his also young age Currant has always impressed me with his game situation smarts and courage.

I thought Currans would end up a better 4/5 game player and Tom limited overs but it's pretty early to say with any certainty. Sam definitely has more to his batting than Tom though, Tom has gone slightly backwards if anything over the last 2 seasons.
