SA win the toss and bat. By all accounts, given the current weather conditions, messrs Anderson and Broad might not be that unhappy.

I was just thinking this might be a good toss to lose. We'll see. Saffers bat.

As long as they can muster 61 I'd call it a win.

Didn't he top-score in their last match, too?

ETA: Sorry, that was Bavuma when you add it up. He might be second on aggregate though.

Big bonus for England that Rabada is banned.

The saffers bat but I haven't had a chance to see the pitch, how is it?

Also, looking at the numbers, it's pretty even stevens between batting first and winning or losing (5-4) so its not as bad a call as it may seem, although when it gets warm, the ball does seem to swing a bit and in Jimmy/Anderson should be looking to go full throttal.

A slight tinge of green but nothing more. Ball swinging around at the moment and especially late swing from Anderson. Anderson has lost a yard of pace by the way. Little over 80mph these days. Broad best part of a yard quicker.

Yep, its been evident for a while now but if he still has teh swing and accuracy, he'll be fine.

Good to see a better pitch for the pace bowlers, although Lords was decent too.

Interesting stuff from Swann on TMS - described Lords as a "snakepit" and Root was robbed of MoTM.

Elgar goes. Magnificent catch from Liam Dawson. I feel bad about having a go at him now.

Jimmy gets a wicket with a very wide one. Elgar will be frustrated that he only pushed at that as opposed to throwing the kitchen sink at it.

This is already looking to be a more competitive match.
