If its not bad enough they wont let the 2 blokes who have both conceded 150 runs in their last outings at the MCG play (And MacGills was in 1 innings!) now the easy wicket got sick We were 1 team that overrated dud didnt make runs against (Plus I put him in my dreamteam along with Clarke who may also miss )

Hold on, Jaques is an overrated dud, so you picked him in your dreamteam? That makes sense.

Since when has Jaques been a dud?

White went into the match with a stress fracture which opened up into a break when he had to leap to avoid an accidental collision with a player. How has Qld cheated in this respect?

Judging by some of the above reactions, your's is certainly a lot more effective.

Always, probably made most of his runs against SA, never made them against us, seeing as PC isnt covered all I have to go is his performances at the G and they were crap

As for QLD, accidental, yeah right, that ***** ran straight at him, was never going to get the ball so decided to take one of our batsmen out instead

Each week I pick 2 opposition batsmen in my team, seeing as Haddin is already in and Katich is too expensive due to his 1 good innings I picked Jaques and Clarke, my dreamteam was struggling anyway so decided to try something different, everytime I drop someone they score big so dropped the Vics and brought in the Vics opponents

Well they almost got it right. MacGill will have surgery on his right hand and will likely miss the first two tests against India. So the choice will be between Hogg and a fourth seamer.

Given Tait's performance last weekend it may well be a fourth seamer. Both Hodge and Katich aren't happy with the Melbourne strip though.

Probably would be a good option, hitting India with pace is almost certainly a theory that could come to fruition.

Interesting to see which way Australia goes in replacing MacGill. Tait might not be a bad choice in Melbourne if the pitch suits pace rather than spin. However in Sydney you would think that Australia would have to choose a spinner. Hogg would have to be the favourite for the spinner's role, although there has been some talk of the Victorian leg spinner McGain being a surprise call up.

Whichever way they go Australia will no doubt win anyway, and losing MacGill might actually be a blessing in disguise for Australia given the way he bowled in Hobart.

Atleast McGain is younger than the other options

Surely MacGill's replacement has to be Hogg, after all he was in the test squad for the Sri Lanka series. If you've the option of bowling a half decent spinner, I think you should always take that chance, especially given that Hogg has been on song this year. And as an additional bonus, he boosts the batting line up.

I would be inclined to agree. Even with Symonds in the side, playing just the four pace bowlers leaves the attack rather one dimensional and it's hard work getting enough overs out of four quicks.

Yes - you need the variety and the extra overs provided by a spinner. Clarke and Symonds are handy enough change bowlers, but not for extended stints.
