Contracts

A
Tendulkar, Dhoni, Gambhir, Singh, Sehwag, Dravid, Laxman, Raina, Khan

B
Yuvraj, Sharma, Nehra, Kumar, Kohli, Vijay, Ojha

C
Sreesanth, Mishra, Ashwin, RSharma, Pujara, Jadeja, Mithan, VKumar

Yuvraj drops out of the A category to B. I doubt we will see him play any more Tests when there are exciting young players like Pujara waiting in the wings.

It's surprising there aren't more fast Test bowlers. Zaheer in A, Sharma in B and Sreesanth in C. I would have thought Sreesanth would be in B and Sharma in C.

I was surprised with his selection too. Didn't see him commanding enough respect over a team full of established players, but he's done well. I'm sure SA will be wanting him after the World Cup though it seems he wants a break.

I think he did well by keeping quite. A bit like John Wright. They didn't come in the way of the egos of the Indian rockstars.

I wonder who will it be next.

He's done well with India. The right man will be a crucial replacement what with what could be a dramatic tour of England coming up after WC and then a tour of Australia in 2011/12.

Micky Arthur/John Buchanan/Fletcher next?

All of the ones you mention would be awful.

John Buchanan? Have you been smoking something?

Fletcher was outstanding for the most part with England. Buchanan admittedly had a world class 1st XI plus others at his disposal. Arthur took SA on a real run.

Who would you go for? John Wright return maybe?

Buchanan was ***** for KKR, showed what a ***** coach he is.

Mickey Arthur isn't a calm head and doesnt keep quiet so no.

And Fletcher is Fletcher so would be a candidate but wont get it.

Moody is the best shout IMO.

If you look far enough, I'm sure that all coaches have had the odd job they have failed at- look at Moody he flopped after quitting SL.

That's sort of true but he's not liked it in India at all and has failed there so it'd be an awfully weird pick for the BCCI.

John Buchanan is literally banned from India, so no chance in hell of getting the India job. BCCI like ddb has said will want and need a man who is quiet, and gets on with things behind the scenes and doesn't meddle with team politics or selections.

Gambhir
Sehwag
Dravid
Tendulkar
Laxman
Pujara
Dhoni
Harbhajan

Most likely but Kohli should be in there, probably for Dravid but he wont retire. So maybe Kohli and Pujara fighting in out for 6 instead of 3.

As for the pace attack we take to England, Zak and 3 others. It will be Sree and/or Ishant, hope we dont take both! Munaf maybe/an IPL star/some random unknown bowler.
