DDB - how many of India's injury list are likely to return for the return ODI series?

Sachin, Zak and Ishant won't. Sehwag might. Gambhir, Yuvi, Rohit and Harby will.

Will Harbhajan come straight back into the team?

If Munaf's injury keeps him out of the return series India would have little choice but to produce turning pitches and pack their side with spinners (two specialists plus Yuvraj and possibly Jadeja).

No Zaheer, Ishant, Munaf or Nehra would leave a pretty dire seam attack. PK is a decent bowler but Vinay Kumar and RP Singh don't look up to it. Maybe Aaron will get a chance in home conditions? Is there anybody else?

Sachin, Yuvi and Sehwag are most likely out of all 5 ODIs along with the long term injuries Ishant, Zak, Munaf and Pujara. Rohit will miss the first two ODIs at least.

Nehra might apparently be recalled if he passes the fitness test of walking 1 metre. PK is the only regular pace bowler fit.

Jadeja, Aaron, Rahane, Tiwary and Parthiv will get a chance to impress in a bit better side than played in England.

Essentially, hello 0-5. Basically 7 first team players missing along with Pujara, will be more fun that our usual 5-0 thrashing of England at least with more bending over.

Dusty tracks with two specialist spinners who actually spin the ball and you will help expose England's lack of expertise in those middle overs, batting wise.

It will be flat pitches galore, don't worry and we'll see tomorrow if we've got 2 spinners.

We've got two spinners at least, a young adventurous(some may say stupid) squad from India. Only 5 batsmen, 2 keepers, an allrounder, 2 spinners, 5 pace bowlers, I repeat 5 pace bowlers. How Vinay Kumar is picked confuses me, some quota thing for sure. Aravind being picked shows desperation. No fire in the batting line up at all, time to bend over.

The rules of ODI's are so batsman friendly now I am surprised that spinners who spin the ball haven't been outlawed in them.

Vinay Kumar won't get into most sides but having watched Yadav in couple of games even this Kumar looks a touch better as he at least has a decent outswinger. In onedayers though he can't bowl as he doesn't have the inswinger or the yorker. Trying a few innocuous cutters won't work for sure. I hope for India's sake the other young quick Aaron doesn't turn out to be another hyped bowler. From the few comments I saw on twitter about Aaron's efforts in a recently concluded domestic cricket match it didn't look encouraging.

India don't have anyone but on the other hand I see the Aussies are looking good what with the exciting Cummins hitting 150+ at the age of just 18. From the few overs I saw him bowl in the CL he looked like an athlete who has an extra gear in terms of pace and he gets bounce too.I think Aus can easily defeat India when they will play India at home.

Strange how these two are part of Kumble's Tenvic company, strange indeed.

They aren't learning from the England model are they?

You wouldn't catch Ashley Giles picking one of the players he manages....

Wow, sad news. "coughing and vomitting" in world cup yet was still so brilliant. Respect.

For over three months or so, as he went for one scan after another, and one test after another, he all but looked death in the eye every day. He had a smile on his face, though, and the faith instilled by his guruji, in his heart.
