The West indies lost because they conceded 20 runs through slipshod fielding and lost by 3. Simple arithmetic.

Lewis Trashed Pakistan @Port of spain 91: 9 sixes

Not long ago, Lewis hits 49 ball 100 vs India at Florida, last night,WI's opening batsman, E.Lewis, hits 5 fours and 9 sixes in his terrific 91,WI reached target of 138 in less than 15 overs.

Pakistan batted poorly in last 7 overs, only Akmal and Babar scored 40's.
Pakistan lead 4 match t20 by 2/1.

I guess they are two quite bland sides these days, certainly compared to 20-30 years ago.

Even by Pakistani standards, the champions trophy triumph is ridiculous. Going at the rate of improvement that they were showing, Pakistan might well have scored 400 and bowled out the opposition for under 100 in the next if there were one.

I really, I mean really did not see Pakistan doing anything prior to the tournament and even more after the first game. But I should have known better. As a fan sometimes watching Pakistan on a roll like this is just, well too exciting to contain yourself. I don't know what it's like for the neutrals, but I would hope the manner of it entertains you just as much.

Now there isn't a test series for quite some time so we won't get to see how they fair without Misbah and Younis. Azhar and Asad will be fine, but question is can Babar Azam and other young batsmen step up?

I've always found Pakistan to be either exasperating or exciting, even when they play India.

Agreed. It was remarkable that every game Pak played after India was a KO game and other than a lil stumble against SL, won all those games with utter ease.

In terms of tests, this is a real test (pun intended) for the young guns. I think it is about time that Shafiq moves up from 6 and Babar may need a spell at 4.

A future team:

1. Aslam (dunno where this lad has gone or why he was dropped)
2. Shehzad (I know, I know but there is something about this guy and he is a solid batsman when he gets going)
3. Ali
4. Azam
5. Shafiq
6. Sarfraz wk/c
7. some sort of bowling allrounder
8. Amir
9. Shah
10. Hassan
11. Junaid

What is a category A contract? Because there's no way Hafeez and Malik should be getting those with Azam and Ali in a cetagory below.

Seeing Riaz there LOL
