Was pretty much nip and tuck until Ireland's fifth wicket fell, after which they collapsed in an ugly heap with indecent haste.

Ireland Square series 2/2 Joyce 160*

What a game final of 5 match series, sweet revenge by Joyce 160 not out 2nd highest score by irelander in ODI

266 chasing big challenge for Afghanistan, after 30 for 3 off 10,
7th wicket add 93 but @212 tourist lost 3 wits in 3 ball, last wicket add 43 in 3.3 over but 12 run short so Ireland square series 2/2

Congratulation and man of series Ed Joyce.

Afganistan playing Bangldesh in 3 ODIs this week which will be a good marker on theirs (and the Bangladeshi's) progress. The hosts making steady progress, 189/3 off 39 overs.

yes Banger beat Afghanistan 2/1.Everywhere around cricketing world Pakistan humiliated westindiies, number one Australian down to floor vs proteas, newzeland lost series yesterday so home team had upper hand whole mos long.

sad news about jimmy who wants to sits out after Rajkot test.Afghanistan still depends on their major 3 player if they fails they are nobody.

Afghanistan making a decent showing against England A. Especially given that the Afghan's best batsmen and bowlers aren't playing in the game.

Definitely think that Afghanistan could give some current Test teams a run for their money.

I think they've overtaken Ireland as the most viable next test nation.

Admittedly only from a playing point of view as obviously they wouldnt be able to host any matches at home whilst i'm not sure what goes on domestically!

Bit of a dramatic defeat in Zimbabwe today. Losing by 3 runs chasing 129 after being 121/5.

Hmmm. But still 2 - 1 up in the series, and an away series too. I'd watch these games if they were on the TV. I'm guessing they're not.

I think I read last week that the Afghans have a domestic system which has now been granted first class status by the ICC. So, I guess very similar to Pakistan from that perspective.

So a series win for Afghanistan in the end after routing Zimbabwe in the final match.

Not sure whether it says more about their improvement or Zimbabwe's further decline.

A bit of both I'd say. Not really sure Zimbabwe ever pick their best XI.
