You know, I send him supportive letters and the occasional care package. He's very fond of TUC biscuits and Dairylea triangles.

They've had their prelim, and been granted name supression until the trial. I think it's set for later this year. Should be relatively soon, I'd say it's a fairly open and shut case.

I hear he himself is doing okay. I won a Wellington jersey signed by him in a charity auction last week. NZ really could do with a fit, firing and mentally prepared Jesse - he's such a talent.

I wonder if there's any chance that Jeetan Patel will get a recall for the NZ world cup side? His limited over performances this season have been exemplary. Although, I wonder if he bowls a little too slowly to succeed Down Under. And are there any K-word complications?

I think they did try recalling him a sohrt whiel ago but he was intent on focusing on Warwickshire.

Seems even more stupid in light of the recent 2-test series with England.

Warner's a right ****. Like Kohli.

I watched a bit of the Ashes Unseen the other day, and even though Warne was as big a **** as can be on the pitch, there's a clip of him chasing Freddie to congratulate him on his century.

The New Zealand and England series played in a very sporting way. The New Zealand players all applauded Stokes when he got his century and were good sports in defeat and victory.

I think there was one unpleasantness in the WC final to do with Haddin sledging the NZ batsmen. It might be part of the game but some Asutralians seem a bit too happy to give it out and not too willing to take it themselves.

Discussed Warner with a friend recently who reckoned he was toning down his on pitch behaviour. Perhaps from spiteful bogan to moody teenager?

Quite a few New Zealand players are giving evidence in regards to the Chris Cairns case. Will be interesting to see what happens and if it ends up revealing more match fixers. Could cast a cloud over NZ cricket.

I can't find live game of day night test but kiwi doing wonderful.smith and virat plunder plenty of runs here but so far on day 2 batsman struggle 15wkts gone on green top.

Adelaide had history of flat track, looks like game over in under 4days.never seen Australian struggles to bats in Australia as much as Indian struggle vs southafrican spinner in India.

202 suddenly looks handsome scores. 100 for 5 I do not think starc, bats so if NZ knock 4 more and start to build platform first they may level series here.

Some fantastic batting from Guptill and Williamson today. Guptill has now possibly replaced Warner as the best attacking opener in limited overs cricket. Could be an outside bet for the world T20.

Henry Nicholls and George Worker have been given central contracts. Nicholls used to be on the books at Durham.

Neither any great shakes. Both have glaring technical deficiencies IMO. To be fair though, there isn't any great batting depth in NZ. Ryder would walk right back in if he could get in the right headspace.

newzeland in Bangladesh

I think NZ should try Jeet open with Latham in BD instead MG.presently NZ middle order need some attention so I would like MG bats in the middle.what you think ?

NZ should select Bharat Popli as well who hits 1142 in Plunkett cup last season with healthy 62 average.he can bats in middle in BD or SA.

The current series between Zew Zealand and Zimbabwe is a clear example of why a two tier Test league would be problematic. New Zealand are clearly closer to Australia and England than they are their current opponents.
