Yeah. Tiny tweak. No player or umpire had ever mentioned it before he failed the test. Jonathan Trott has played against him a lot and he said it was a bizarre test result and didn't believe it.

This means that for the first time this tour we will play an attack with two specialist spin bowlers. Excellent. It would be good for people to say whether bowling in this match counts before the match starts to prevent the usual post hoc rationalisation.

Have to say that's a very weak bunch of players.

Is it? I have to say I haven't watched much of the players in 50 over cricket but it doesn't look a poor squad to me.

Good to see the spinners not taking all 10 wickets for a change. Young (21) Saqib Mahmood with 4 first class matches behind him adding 3 to his previous tally of 13 fcc wickets.

Keeps this up he could be in with a chance of being 3rd spinner at Galle.

Mahmood and Gleeson were certainly more effective than Porter and TRJ were in the first two matches.

It makes me think that if Wood is a doubt for the Tests in New Zealand that Roland-Jones is not yet ready. I think it's time for Finn again. Is he ready though? Playing in the PSL 4-0-14-1.

Am I missing something here? Surely barring injuries England would like to play Anderson, Broad, and Woakes, with Stokes also there in order to make sure that the others all stay super-fresh, plus some spinner or other.

Any bowler could get injured in the nets or in the warm-up games.

Why are the Lions so crap? 61-3 now, still a long way adrift.

Isn't it the same when county sides go to Taunton? Low scores. County batsmen can't play spin.
