Yes. One of the selectors then tries to get points deducted from Somerset. We can't play spin so rather than try and learn we say "unfit for cricket" - obviously lords green top is fine.

What a shambles.

that was the 2nd match. Hameed has just top scored with 48 in the third match in a total of 102 all out. Next highest 16 by Jennings. Lions 39/0 to 102 ao

Absolutely pathetic. What riles me the most is that in all 3 games they’ve just let the spinners bowl at them and the run rate has routinely been less than 2 runs per over. I think we are beginning to see why the likes of Vince and Ballance keep getting picked.

Obviously coach Flower has not been able to pass on any of his knowledge of playing spin. Why are the ECB still employing him?

I've wondered that for some time. He seems to retain a lot of influence and apparently he's not the sort of guy to get the wrong side of. I understand he's well connected with the women's game as well...

Dom Bess gets another 5 fer. I think that is 6 in first class cricket (12 or 13 matches) Not bad for a 20 year old.

Three times as many as crane m who has played three times more matches.

Granted not played many at Taunton but he played twice on the WI tour!

Is there a silver lining to this demolition, in that West Indies might actually have some actual world class talent coming through (dare I hope) or are England just supremely incompetent and awful? Like a lot of these guys are tests prospects from all talk.

They've basically been bowled out by the same spinner (Worrican) 3 times. I don't think I'd look too much more into it other than the fact that at no level can any of our batsmen play spin.

England are the same as any other non-subcontinental side: absolutely useless at playing on spinning tracks.

Bring this Windies A team over here and we'll see how they fare. I'm pretty sure the England would win comfortably.

I've seen some domestic WI cricket in the last couple of years and some of the players in this match and I think it's the latter, England have been dreadful. It's no surprise we can't play spin since there is only one turning pitch in the UK and hardly any counties play specialist spinners.

Well the senior side got demolished by Afghanistan in a one day game the other day, so not sure if this is a revival. If it is, better get the A side out to Zimbabwe now otherwise the Windies won't be in the next world cup.

Jolly good of him to share the limelight I reckon.

At least we have some decent cover if England decide to do the unthinkable.

Maybe, although these performances are barely!more illustrative than a Premier league striker scoring a hat trick against a non-league side in the FA Cup.

His FC record is more than handy thought (ave 19, strike rate 45) Should at least get a look in for the national side soon. edit: oh, he has, and he was rubbish.

Llorente thanks you for your support, although Rochdale despite their portrayal by the media are actually a league club!
