Is there a better bowling line up than Sussex?

Archer
Jordan
Mills
Rashid Khan

Briggs?
Beer?

I'm going to see Sussex when they play Hampshire on 12th July. Purely to see Archer and Rashid Khan bowl.

Archer and Rashid bowling to James Vince would be just perfect!

Possibly not but Khan is only doing half the tournament and it'd be a bit of a miracle if Mills plays half. Could be an opportunity for Garton and Robinson and I should think Briggs will play all the games. I think a lot of our success depends on whether we've unearthed a diamond in Tom Bruce from NZ or if he's a new Lou Vincent.

Notts have released a load more tickets for the game against The Bears on Wed. Can only assume this means there will be a bumper crowd in even though the game is on Sky.

There may not be a better bowling line up, but there may not be a worse top 6!!

Jordan is also largely useless bowling in the first 6 overs.

Sussex's prospects haven't escaped the bookies, who have them at second or even joint favourites despite their failure to advance from the group stage last season.

But there seem to be some question marks as noted above. Mills seems to be still injured?

Even pretty good pace bowlers often seem to end up as cannon fodder in these matches, making it very hard to predict.

Then there are England and other international player comings and goings, for which one seems to need to carry out a research paper to figure out.

I would tend to favour a side with a lot of stability, rather than a dressing room merry-go-round.

Surely Birmingham/Warwickshire should go well again? Hampshire, Notts, Surrey, Yorkshire all to be respected?

Or maybe one of the non-fancied sides who depend on a regular core of players for the whole tournament?

That probably puts around 15 of the teams into the mix.

Sussex main problems will be in the batting - they have been heavily reliant on Luke Wright to perform (which he cant do every match) - but they lack big hitters/fast scorers which will probably make them vulnerable, particularly in the key matches. Their bowling attack should be effective and has some good back-up

Certainly dont see them as favourites, particularly as a few years since they even qualified for next round

How does Grant Elliott not count as an overseas player for the Bears? They have Jeetan Patel and deGrandhomme as their two overseas men.

He counts as a Kolpak having retired from internationals but basically being South African.
