Good signing this. Made mincemeat out of my lot at Old Trafford last year in the match that finally sent us down. He sort of creeps up on you - has 100 before you know it. Lovely to watch

Yet another ingenious move from Ready. Letting us play crap in the latter group games knowing this would happen and that we would therefore be 'due' to hit peak form the quarters, semis and final. A master stroke if ever there was one.

Hey there, Notts season ticket holder here.

Quick round up of what I think of us......

Read is god. Pattinson, Swann, Ealham and Patel are quality. Franks is annoying but im warming to him this season. We have no openers. Shaf is a waste of space. Shreck is good but never England quality. Fletcher is a future star, Hales isn't. Wagh is the most frustrating player ever. Voges is good but he's no Hussey. We are abysmal at T/20 and dont deserve to got through. We are great at CC though!!!

Come on Notts!!!

Thumbs down

It is absolutely not in question why Surrey have yet to win a game this year.... 5 draws from 7 games thus far and a sixth on the way here.

That's a shame.

Anyone who can nail Ganguly between the eyes gets my vote.

Err yes, Luke needs the chance. I'd look for him to get some county games next season...... unless we get another NZ manufactured kolpak to take his place again.

He's at the wrong club as well, Newell won't play the kids i'm afraid and as Fletcher is the current young star then Footitt has little chance even if he was up to speed.

His career at Notts has certainly stalled due to injury and the 'interesting' selection process. A fresh start elsewhere could well benefit him.

He was out yesterday running in on the practice crease before play. Look fit'ish.

He must be about 11th in line though with the england boys back....

And it must be very frustrating for him.

Pace bowlers in selection rank :
(Newells order not mine! Mine wouldn't have Franks, Clough or Harris in it at all)
Sid LFM
Broad RFM
Pattinson RFM
Ealham RM
Shreck RFM
Adams RFM
Franks RFM
Harris RM
Fletcher RMF
Clough RM
Footitt LFM

That's quite some squad.

Now my order :

Sid LFM
Broad RFM
Pattinson RFM
Adams RFM
Shreck RFM
Ealham RM
Fletcher RMF
Footitt LFM

So with te top 2 away the bottom 2 should get a game at least every other until they force their way in.

and the "so long and thanks for all the fish....." to :
Harris RM
Franks RFM
Clough RM

To be honest Ealham hasn't done much with the ball in the CC this season, or I can't remember him doing much. I'd like to give Footitt a game and see how he goes.

I'd still have Charlie ahead of Adams as well.

Agreed, nor with the bat except in the opener. But he can bat.....

Wouldn't have a problem with that as long as we have Adams in for Shreck.
A tail of Shreck, Pattinson, Footitt in a tight game is one too many rabbits.

I would have earlier, but not more recently.
