3/41 for Warwickshire's 19yo debutant George Panayi, including last year's teenage sensation and this year's twenty-year-old flop Haseeb Hameed.

I really don't understand Sussex's thinking with him this summer. Ok Nash has got a knock but Wells or Van Zyl should be opening and Rawlins slotting in at 5 or 6.

Derbyshire's 16yo spinner Hamidullah Qadri is the first player to play county cricket born in this millennium. He took a 5fer on debut, playing his second match alongside veteran Imran Tahir this week.

I think that Qadri might also be the first Afghanistani cricketer to play for a county too, although he's been in England since 2010.

It didn't make headlines when Leicestershire grabbbed slow left-armer Callum Parkinson from Derbyshire last summer. However, watching him bowl last night against Durham, I can clearly see why they did it.

Wouldn't mind these seven in a team

J Clarke (21) 920 runs at 43.80
Lawrence (20) 761 runs at 44.76
C Steel (22) 899 runs at 40.86
Archer (22) 638 runs at 45.57 - 61 wickets at 25.29
Barnard (21) 580 runs at 36.25 - 47 wickets at at 25.25
Tongue (19) 47 wickets at 25.78 (89-90mph 6'4)
Bess (20) 36 wickets at 23.41 spin

My Test team in the year 2020
Cook retired, Ali preferred T20s and Woakes was injury prone. Broad joined SKY, while doing a umpires course.

1 Hameed
2 Burns
3 Lawrence
4 Root
5 Stokes
6 Livingstone
7 Bairstow
8 Archer
9 T Curran
10 Bess
11 Tongue

In 2020, your number 5 could still be doing a 5.

Heard it was Dec 2018 but in any case the rules will have changed. Play will continue at Lords in the rain.....

I was taking my information from the Sussex fans website:

Quote:
We learnt that Jofra still has 5 years to go before qualifying for England and is happy to wait.

RD: “Don’t go pushing off and playing for those West Indians.”

JA: “No, no, I will wait and do the best I can for Sussex in the mean time.” (sigh of relief from the audience)

Maybe he should play for his own country - the West Indies... I reckon he'd be in the team this winter...

Walter is one of seven bowlers selected for the Pace Programme, which runs in various spells at Loughborough and abroad from the end of this month through to March.
