Sounds like we're suffering somewhat of an injury crisis afore tomorrow's game with Glamorgan with Mervin Westfield joining Andy Flower, Tony Palladino, Graham Napier, Darren Thomas and Jahid Ahmed in the Darren Anderton memorial physio room.

We should still have enough batting to get another draw and at least we can flog Danish for another 52 odd overs per innings. I wonder if Pakistan'll complain again.

Pakistan only released Danish on the proviso that he wasn't overbowled. I think Ronnie may be thinking that they'll recall him at some point come what may, and we need to flog him until Nel arrives. Then when he is recalled we can look at other options. But Danish himself just wants to bowl and bowl.

Andrew McGarry has been called up to the Essex squad for the game against Hampshire...

His mum does the scoring at this University...true story.

Although Thomas, Napier, Westfield and Palladino are all playing for the second eleven at Hampshire at the moment, so they must be nearing fitness.

Spurious rumours Joe, only worthy of the gutter press and the bars of Essex league cricket clubs. Propogated by gnarled old hands who are still better bowlers in Essex league cricket than McGarry will ever be, but never got a sniff of county representation at any level. I for one don't give them any credence.

seven wickets for danish! presumably he will take up residence at one end pretty early and bowl for as long as it takes.

Danish was brilliant and got huge applause.

He bowled from both ends and did what was asked of him, (47 overs...it felt like 546, but I had just sat through Watergate.)

All cred to him.

Batter than Irani. Poor bugger was so exhausted after his 218 yesterday he had to go off for most of the day!!! Had swedish masseurs tending to his every need and everything....bless him. (I like Irani and no one will tell me otherwise, (yes I mean you psyduck ) especially after he gave me a dazzling 'hello' smile this morning! )

And he was still moaned at by some of the crowd!!

So alot of Danish's bowling figures came off the decision of the new captain..Alistair Cook!

Excellent win. Top marks for Danish, good support from Midders too, I'm not a huge fan, but he's done very well today.
