Yes.

Highlights from every day are to be shown for no extra fee on BT Showcase and the channel will show one full game a week from the BB for free.

Interesting deal between BT Sport and Channel 5 to show 5 live matches from Big Bash - first live cricket on terrestrial TV since 2005.

Not quite so. IPL was shown on ITV 3 or 4 (can't remember which) for a couple of years.

It was ITV 4 and it did really well in the ratings for its time slot. It was a shame that it went to Sky. Quest TV recently showed an ODI between Australia and Sri Lanka which was the first international on free TV in over a decade. At least it's progress.

Used to watch quite a bit of the IPL on ITV4.

Saw some of that match on Quest as well. They had Scottish Open Snooker at the weekend. They seem to be picking up some random stuff!

Barry Hearn has done wonders for snooker, you could find it somewhere on TV almost any week of the year it seems. No reason why cricket can't be shown just as much. Dave showed the CPL this year too.

I'd forgotten that! Was interesting to watch, especially the games played in Florida.

Dave's coverage was bizarre though. I remember tuning in on a couple of occasions and they weren't displaying the score anywhere, or which batsmen were in, or who was bowling...

I was fortunate to be in Melbourne and to watch the first BBL fixture for Melbourne Renegades vs Sydney Thunder, the reigning champs playing their 2nd match of the tournament. It was a lovely night for cricket and there were lots of children having fun at the match, 23,000 in all at Docklands stadium.

Eoin Morgan made a typical hole out during a challenging chase, which was a bit of a shame though not greatly surprising perhaps. Aaron Finch played what turned out to be the decisive innings for the home team, with 4 sixes in his half century.

Nice, glad you had fun. How much did it cost to get in?

Broad has had a bit of a bad night with the ball though he was unlucky not to get Billings out.

It was $10 in reserved seating for children and $30 for adults (Australian funds).

So that's about 17-18 which isn't bad.

Bell made a pretty 50 before getting run out.

An excellent 61 - Scorchers' highest scorer.

He was facing Chris "the new Jade Dernbach" Jordan mind!

Seems to be a good match for past it cricketers. 41 year old Brad Hodge is 55* off 31 and Mitchell Johnson has a wicket.

Ashton Turner seems to be in good form at the moment. Hundreds in his last two Shield matches and the star of the Scorchers' innings. Is it just temporary form, or does he have some permanent class as well?

Just finished watching the Perth vs Adelaide game, Willey came in at #5 and Jordan at #7, plenty of English representation which is good. Surprising Buttler didn't put his name in the hat.

Roy didn't play today due to injury.

Broad's wickets missing from his stats.

He started off really struggling to get anything but an underside edge on the ball as the wicket had a bit of variable bounce but he looked good when he started hitting it straight.

Willey got a couple of wickets off his 3 overs earlier and Bell is leading the chase for Perth in what looks like a close match. DJ Bravo has injured himself doing some excellent fielding on the rope.

Edit: Well that did it for Bell, run out for 22 off 19.
