Rather than a big post on Rashid, do you actually have a source for this?

Of course not. It was a joke. The ipl has players at their peak but the big bash is clearly just a retirement fund for many. It is good fun though. The tournament suffers from the fact that England saffers, nz, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, aus, India and I suppose Windies all play during it. This is why I don't understand the demand for an international window for big bash.

After that start they had qualification sorted but decided to slog to it. Very odd.

They still needed to score at a moderately reasonable rate I think, certainly over 7s. It also seems to be very difficult to slow back down for safety after a flying start. This kind of thing happens quite often in T20. I got some money on the Strikers at 7s I think it was just before the second wicket fell, which was nice.

Kevin Peterson is really starting to annoy me, im just sick of hearing him talking and sick of his voice.

Freddy Flintoff is copping a bit because of his commentary and hes not great with the technicalities of the game, i cant believe after getting to listen to him more and more he was captain of England but i grown to really like the bloke over the last few years.

I saw him a bit on that show im a celebrity get me out of here and he seemed a really good fella, and hes not a pussy either, he really has a go, him and Merv Hughes were a good little team.

Freddy is just in the commentary box for the laughs and his personality, and i find him actually a pretty humble guy, he can take the **** from himself and have a good laugh.

So its a vote for freddy myself.

I just wish old Bumbles Lloyd was over here, legend of a bloke, great lad and my fav pommy commentator.
Wish we could swap that ****** Chappell with him in the commentary box, get Bumbles with Bill.

Ive been very impressed with Mark Waugh in the box, the man knows his ****.

Good bet was that because they had to win in under 16 overs. That was a proper shambles all round with those two dismissals to dodgy spin.

Rashid just hit a 3 ball 14...

Surely he's in the England team for the 20/20 world cup ?

Not been watching competition this but I understand that Rashid has returned some extraordinarily good bowling figures.

It's 20/20 so they'll take any old *****. But in Rashid's case probably not on the back of his meagre run return, rather his excellent bowling figures. http://www.theguardian.com/sport/201...trevor-bayliss

Don't Adelaide Strikers have better bowlers to open the bowling?

Putland 34.93
Holland 35.40

Bet they can't wait for Rashid 22.16 to bowl.

Rashid in at 9th over and a wicket of Hussey with his 5th ball.

I would imagine he will be of we go two spinners otherwise they will go with the chap who out bowled him in almost ever limited over match.

Let's hope that kp gets to the final and that Kallis is fit so we have the battle of previous stars in the ultimate confrontation between good and evil.

Kallis is dull rather than evil.

I was going to put that post down to the lateness of the hour and then I noticed the time.

It may be correct, though. We seem to have favoured the spinner who offers very little variation over one who does so far. Until his luck runs out, I suppose we may continue to do so.
