Surely he does have his way this season?

I wonder how long it'll be before we see MPV back in a Yorkshire shirt. He mentioned in a recent interview that he wanted to get back in as soon as possible, in preparation for the Test series. I'm fairly mellow on him walking back into the team, probably ahead of Sayers.

Three Yorkshire partnership records have been set this century. Each had an Australian namely Martyn, Lehmann & Gillespie.

We don't have to wait too long, he gets four games before the Windies series. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cric...nd/6585283.stm

What was all that hobbling around in the last game though? He didn't look too comfortable.

That was just him getting ready to break down in the first innings against Hampshire, leaving us with ten men to face Warne and chums.

I'd laugh apart from disturbingly high probability of that being true.

A quick hundred from Dizzy will see us through that one though.

Timothy Thomas for 1000 runs and 40 wickets this season?

Harsh on Sayers, but this'll probably be the team for 4-day games with Vaughan back:

White
MPV
McGrath
MYK
Rudolph
Rashid
Brophy
Bresnan
Dizzy
Gough
Hoggy

Quite a line-up on paper, and all 11 are all-rounders in some shape or form. Will try and get to the Rose Bowl for a day, prospect of a good game there

Commentators weren't sure, either it was just cramp or a hammy

Everyone knows he only gets hundreds on his birthday

I am going to desperately try to be at the Rose Bowl for at least part of next week (fancy a beer if you make it too Rey?). But as a supporter of both clubs my loyalties will be seriously torn.

(I was glad Vaughan put his money where his mouth is in terms of actually committing to play more games for Yorkshire!)

Personally, I'm up for playing Vaughan in the reserves. Wouldn't mind seeing Lawson get a game instead of Bresnan.

Is it too early to talk about the title?

Yes .... and it will be for weeks yet. Some of the older ones amongst us remember 1987. We were top of the league when we won the B&H in early July. Apart from the Scarborough game the day after the final Yorks didn't win another game 'til then end of that season.

Blimey yes, we haven't bowled out Benks and Diva yet in the second innings.

We're the only county team with a 100% record so far this season

Should we start talking about the title?

Our batting is the weak point (at least relatively) and we often struggle against high quality spin. Beat Hants at the Rose Bowl, Warne and all, then I'll say yes.

Even with Younis & Rudolph?

Though I accept the point that the openers aren't necessarily all one could hope for.
