As in the same shape as last season, plus Raine and minus Hoggard and Williams.

Leicestershire have enquired about signing Fidel Edwards as a Kolpak, it may not be possible due to his commitments elsewhere. Also they are looking to sign a batsman, maybe two.

No new signings yet but a little bit of news that Jigar Naik has signed a new 1 year contract extension and he's fit to hopefully play the whole of the 2014 season.

Happy to have him on board, decent signing brings in vital experience.

Cricinfo say that he "struggled to establish a permanent place at Derby".

He's played 70 first class games by the age of 23!!!

I reckon Redfern is going to be pretty well used at Leicestershire from the off - Shiv Thakor is out until the end of June with a broken finger, which for some insane reason he was asked to play with throughout 2013 after he broke it in January 2013 -even though he had trouble holding his bat and could only field with his right hand.

'Despite the appearance of his finger and the pain he was suffering, he was not offered the option of a mid-season operation, despite consultations with a hand surgeon in London who felt the finger needed treatment straight away'.

Unbelievable!!!!!!!!

He's turned down a contract extension - translates as he wants away.

Well that helps to explain what was a fairly mediocre season, after high expectations going in. Also doesn't say much for the Leics batsmen who averaged worse than a 19 year old with a broken finger. He bowled 133 overs in the season as well.

Should I start the 2015 Out of Contract thread early? I'm already calling Notts as favourites, just because they sign everybody.

It won't be long until they take Rob Sayer off our hands.
