Botha is England qualified, Harvey now counts as English.

Boyd Rankin looks a pretty decent bowler. He could take a few wickets for you.

He does look decent, but he's another military medium bowler for Derbyshire, they need someone who is going to guarantee them 50-60 wickets in the season.

He bowls at a pretty decent pace. Anyway, at 6"7, you don't really need to bowl at express pace, just get the ball in the right areas and naturally your height will get more bounce than other bowlers, like Caddick and Tremlett.

just been reading reports on the practice game against Yorkshire. They made 342-4 with Botha's 2-36 the pick which says it all.....

Derbyshire looking pretty poor in reply with only Wagg 90 and Botha 57 looking any good by the sounds of it, Hoggard took 3-37 and Rashid 3 for 54.

not sure what happened today against Warickshire though

Ryan ten Doeschate does not count as English. He is a Saffer with a Dutch passport. As a result European Union law prevents him from being treated less favourably than someone who actually is English.

oh christ Adnan is down to play tomorrow

bowling looks rather weak:

Hollywood, Weston, Taylor, Katich, Has, Harvey, Pipe, Botha, Wagg, Lungely and Dean.

at least the days of Botha batting at 5 have passed

I wonder if we'll be treated to more Dave Houghton joy on the Beeb this summer?

RTD is on the case, then our 3 (count 'em) spinners will trap you in their web.

Just read that Derbyshire have taken Simon Cusden off us. At least your bowling attack's not that bad that he gets in the team. Am looking forward to see how Rankin fairs in county cricket.

Wow look at the strike-rates of Katich and Harvey compared to the rest of the team. Only the wk could match them - look out Nixon/Read/Jones/etc.

Could Harvey theoretically play for England in 20/20's??
