Hi Warley, to get the smileys to show in the message you have to copy and paste them. Unless they are under generic smileys.

Just wondering does the full support staff mean that Roy & Robin go as well?

Dougie Watch (Scotland vs Australia):

Bowling
O M R W Econ
9 0 86 1 9.55

Batting
R | M| B|4s|6s|SR
19|55|37|3|0|51.35

This includes being taken to the cleaners by Bears legend Bradley "10 Gallon Hat" Hogg off his last two overs (40+ runs conceded off just 12 balls!!!). Leaving him with bowling figures that only Neil Carer would be happy with

Section 19, would be proud.

Morning all

Speaks volume really doesn't it.... Whilst up against the best in the world it has been obvious that Dougie has been in gradual decline since our championship year and that has accelerated since last June. Anyone who saw the Middlesex CC game last July would sadly appreciate that ! A month is a long time for a sportsman in the mid to late 30's. There are statistics and then what you see with the eye...... Perhaps a few one off great performances left in the tank ?

Quite right to put a little perspective on things, but you have to remember Dougie Brown is a former England international bowler. If you compare his figures with those of both Hoffmann and Wright, who would struggle to get into most county sides, it's not favourable.

Surely when it says save 25 it just means you won't incur the draconian late renewal charge?

oh dear. Not very tactful to use something (the 25 "fine") that has caused a lot of people to delay signing up as a marketing tool, is it?

Your executive membership isn't as good as ours...... but then I cant afford ours at 375 ;-)

Last year family membership (2 adults) was 150 - this year 190

Last year child 20 this year 45

Single Adult I think is 135

Last three years increases are 20%, 4%, 15% (except children - 125%)

If you live 15 miles from the ground you rather strangely get a whopping big discount ;-)

Do you know how many members you have?. The problem at our place isnt so much the cost (tho Junior Bears have just gone up from 20 to 45) but the fact that the categories keep changing - and they manage to upset a sizeable group of members every year. Family this year, patrons two years ago Theyve just made our parking pay as you go instead of a season ticket which adds about 120% to the cost of those who go every day. Not good to hit most loyal supporters hardest.

2006 Family = 150 + 3 x 20 = 210.00
2007 Family = 190 + 3 x 45 = 325.00

That is about a 50% increase for a couple with three children.

So its a single membership this year

But as I've paid I expect that my 25 will come in the post any day now
