Hi Kim

Sadly they will not be attending in 2007

but descions needed to be made to avoid the 25 fine about paying that sort of money up front, so it was a single membership in the end. At least I still get the voucher book to take one of them and my wife along occasionally and perhaps pay at the gate for the odd T20. Sad really - but 325 was too much in one go !

I'm not saying that 45 is unreasonable but 3 x 125% was too much - and if they stay at home so does my wife .........

So well done CP and his friend ....... three future bears supporters priced out of the game

Well, I wont need my voucher book at all if that would help. Go 100% to waste otherwise.

Fir me its alright as I've saved meself a fiver with membership and shirt costing me 45 quid this year instead of the 50 last year. I can't believe we've got oram to replace sangakkara next year as well. Three great signings and one not sure about and a new pavilion. Bravo, Mr Povey. Surely this year will be a return to the glory days!

C'MON YOU BEARS! 5 weeksish to Lancashire!

Reading the following article explains why there has been no announcement on Oram, or any big fuss anyway.

http://www.ecb.co.uk/news/world/oram...,11929,EN.html

So, as I predicted over six months ago, we are indeed putting our season into one (twenty20) basket. Signing a player who needs major surgery just because he may be able to play a couple of knock out games is quite absurd.

Agree totally. If they are serious about this season they need someone who can play from the start and then fill in for Kumar later - ie any Aussie bat who is not in the Wcup. I think our batting is likely to be crap anyway but playing the first few games without any overseas batsman at all could mean we are in trouble from the start.

Or get the train

Although, I'm excepting a "non-parking" fine to be announced by the club soon

Thanks Kim...... Keep it safe

Perhaps we could have a collection for other deserving cases too

As for parking - Edgbaston road (access from Park Road - Mosely only) is a short walk if Cannon hill park has the parking stewards out (not likely on a CC game though). Otherwise 3 members 5 others

That used to be in the members car park pass - if you got there at first light. Now its 15 for an international on site.

Could other counties members use the old car park? If so, then making them pay 5 quid is another revenue stream isnt it?

A better bet would be to drive to a nearby housing estate and park the car there for free. Might be a bit of a walk to get to the ground but it'll be worth it.

Hmmmmm

But seriously I imagine the scene......... with 2 hours free parking

Play starts at 11am ..... at 12.45 mass stampede to get out of car park before free parking ends.

Quick drive for some early lunch and back for start of the afternoon session for another 2 hours.

etc. etc. etc. The club wont be selling much food

Begs the question why they got rid of the old system ?

Anyway news from the forum http://www.thebears.co.uk/interactive/audio/

By the way, as far as I'm aware Executive "Membership" at Warwickshire isn't actually membership at all, as there are no voting rights. Not that they are worth much anyway when we aren't allowed to vote. And when we are the most people we can remove each year is 1 or 2.

We nee the lot out, like Sussex did 10 years ago, they haven't looked back since.

Yes I wounder how much power the membership have.... at times it now feels little more than a football season ticket - it gets you into the ground, and thats about it

So Ians been a naughty boy (allegadley)

Just because Ian was one of those partying away after defeat,I'm no going to say "thaks OK". Its not. To celebrate defeat isn't good...... The guys need to be setting an example and concetraiting on their game. Defeat should hurt - not parties and pedalows at 4am (alledgedly).

This all smacks of the action of a team loosing its direction. Whilst perhaps replicating what society does (and resembling footballers). Indeed Freddy has been spotted once too many times in an unfit state. Indeed the day of the Ashes 'party', his drunken actions were slighly embarassing.

On this occasion, its not unfair to be critical. Lets hope the guys can get their act together and go on to win !

A great result for the Irish yesterday, but some very concerning news that Bob Woolmer has been found unconscious in his hotel room in the West Indies. No details yet - lets hope all is OK. But I have to say that the pressure must be enormous and the hot conditions wont have helped ...... so although early days, I am very, very worried by this news Lets hope for the best !
