I think such Achievements by Overseas player in NZ batted so many minutes in nZ in single test

Congratulation ELGAR (140/89) beating 539 minutes, stays of English player in single test in NZ

Geoff Haworth batted 657 minutes in single test in NZ (home) I wonder how many minutes Martin Crowe batted during his 299 run out

NZ must wish it was too dark to bowl the quickies more often. I was surprised when they actually held a catch. They must improve with DRS as well.

Not sure what the situation is with Boult. Can't see NZ winning a game now Taylor (and potentially Boult)'s out. Weather is still a bit flakey - could be more draws on the cards.

Thought the pitch was pretty bland and not conducive to stroke play. It seemed so cold you wonder why they scheduled a match there so late in the season.

Draw always looked on the cards.

Still these teams look even on paper.

March isn't really late in the season these days. Peak Summer in the last decade has been in February/March, but we've had a truly abysmal summer for the weather this year.

So much for global warming. Pity as it could have been an exciting finish.

More weather extremes is the order of the day down here with Global Warming. Last Summer was fantastic, but we still had a couple of days of severe flooding in Wellington. This past week has had two torrential storms in a matter of days up in Auckland with severe flooding. I'd hate to be a farmer up in Northland; drought or flood and very rarely a balance of reasonable weather.

I like India batting line and if we see the old record or India the batting line in every year has good but the bowling of India is not Good as well as Batting But now a day it has also good bowling and also beat Australia In test cricket.

Ball tracking not available?!? Are you kidding me? I blame NZ Cricket's COO Anthony Crummy for all ills (not really, but I used to work with him and he's Australian so why not?).

Williams was deader than last week's mackerel though. At best for him the ball was clipping the top of middle and leg, so really it just saved NZ a review. Is more than a bit lame though, having said that. Interesting match shaping up if the Kiwis can put together a couple of decent partnerships then bowl well but this just feels like a game where the obviously better side starts strongly and will dominate from there.

Popli's having a terrible season in domestic cricket. Completely slipped off the radar after his breakout last term.

50/50 this match at the moment. Didn't think Nicholls had it in him.

NZ need to take some early wickets tomorrow; recent Basin pitches have a very strong record of flattening out like a featherbed for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th days.

Why wasn't ball tracking available early in the day? Also SA discovered a demon bowler in Duminy.

Late fightback from SA. Given that they bat last, the test is probably evenly poised.

These last wicket stands must be killers for the fielding side. NZ must be aggrieved that despite a bouncy pitch 2 full blooded edges failed to carry.

Maharaj twirls the Saffers to victory. Would've seemed unlikely when they were 95/6 but in the end a stroll as the Kiwis collapsed in the second innings.
