Their pace/seam attack is solid if not spectacular. Boult was named in the top XI of the best international XI likely to play. Batting? Williamson, Guppie and Latham are no slouches.
Can get 13.5 on Betfair right now. I'm tempted but your list of batsmen is why I'm not all that tempted: Guptill and Williamson are class in the format but if the dismal Latham is the third best guy (I don't think he is but still) then you've got a side over reliant on its main two and the fact that it bats a long way down.

For various reasons I haven't seen much of the two games but I'd rest up Stokes,Woakes and Wood for Monday and give Willey and YJB some match practice, I'd like to see Billings get some match practice in as well ahead of the CT but unless Morgan is ok with sitting one out all the other batsman could do with some time in the middle as well so can't see a place for him.

Roy,Hales,Root,Morgan,Bairstow,Buttler,Ali,Plunket t,Rashid,Willey,Ball

According to Cricinfo England are resting Woakes, Stokes and Ali and have called up Finn, Roland-Jones and Dawson. Not sure there's really a need to call up Finn and Roland-Jones but I guess with the game being at Lords and Middlesex not having a game it gets them involved with the team.

Well might as well try and bat first if we get the option then, at the moment they say the rain shouldn't be coming in until 2-3 so time for one innings.

JJ Roy, AD Hales, JE Root, EJG Morgan*, JM Bairstow, JC Buttler†, AU Rashid, DJ Willey, TS Roland-Jones, JT Ball, ST Finn

Surprised they've gone with 4 seamers rather than Dawson who I guess would be more likely to come in and play in the CT than TRJ or Finn.

SA win the toss and put us in to bat again.

Root's gonna do at least 5 overs in that line-up.

SA will chase easily today as well. That seam attack looks leaky AF

If we play SA in the knock-outs we should maybe drop Roy for that one game.

I'm thinking we should drop Roy anyway. Such a short tournament means that form is crucial and he and Bairstow are right at opposite ends of that spectrum.

SA may not have to chase that many today...

This will be over well before the play-off final at 3.

Bairstow fails his audition. Should never play for England again.

Huh he hasn't faced a ball yet has he? Haha he may not get a chance to use your reverse jinx if this carries on!

England obviously want to have time to watch the footy later.

Buttler gone too. Wtf is wrong with them? Stop flashing at it outside off and play 10 overs like it's a test. Our first choice top 6, near enough, too. Not like the changes should have affected the top order.

Not sure it's going to make much difference the way this is going.... At least it gives our tail a chance to have a bat, just a slight problem that they're unlikely to be playing in the CT anyway.

Good cheer for a full blooded block from YJB :-)
