Not sure. I know that he's quite proud of the fact that he's never missed a game with an injury.

They actually ran through his stats on the commentary of the 50 over semi in all 3 competitions and they were incredibly impressive, but I can't remember them exactly now! But I do remember, when talking about his run of not missing a CC match through injury, they made a point of quoting KP whilst stating that wasn't a bad effort, for someone who is "unfit, fat and lazy"!!

Pretty shambolic again from Notts. Another defeat looms. Mitigating circumstances in that we've not had Pattinson for any of the CC games, and Coughlin, who would, in theory, bring balance to the side, has only played the first match. Will he ever be fit, I wonder?

Pity Notts showed so little faith in Billy Root.

Was shunted in and out of the team, asked to bat in odd positions and was generally treated as a substitute player.

Like his brother he seems to be an absolute model professional and I was quite surprised in Moores’ lack of faith in him.

What's happened to Hales? Thought he was only banned for 20 days.

Do you know why Wessels left the club?

Haven't a clue. I assume with all the new batsmen signed, he was seen as surplus to requirements.

Broad not allowed to play in the Kent game... odd. He'll have had about three and half weeks off when he next plays vs. Essex.

Anderson playing yet again for Lancashire. Think the ECB team are favoring them. This is when Central Contracts becomes a challenge, someone will always feel they aren't being treated as well as others.

I thought the general consensus was that each decision was made on a combined basis between the player and the England hierarchy.

You would certainly hope that was the case. Wonder if it really is?

I would think so.

Not sure what the "ECB team" constitutes, but I would frankly be utterly gobsmacked if those making the decisions about England player availability are even remotely considering the benefits or otherwise for the various counties.

Ball, Broad & Ashwin - supplemented by Fletcher and Patel.
Surely on paper seriously competitive attack?

Three players who are out of contract at the end of the season.

Wood - 3/4 counties are after him and Notts want to keep him.
Footit - Won't have his contract renewed.
Hales - His new contract will be discussed at the end of the season. No parties interested in signing him apparently.
