Indeed, I don't understand the point in Footitt going over there when he's nearly 30 and only bad can come of being messed about with. He knows how to bowl, he's either good enough or he isn't.

Maybe they will help him to bowl with the white ball. His list A economy is 6.10 and 20/20s 10.77.

Finn will be joining the EPP squad to South Africa and Dubai. That makes it 9 bowlers now.

Possibly but hard to see what use that will be to England, as he's hardly likely to be forcing a place in limited overs formats.

Maybe they are not worried about economy and rather going for wicket takers. Meaker was chosen for ODIs when his county economy was 6.23. Probably when selecting it's either fast or left-armers these days. Dernbach was unlucky. He got dropped for his economy.

Dernbach 6.35
Stokes 6.22
Topley 6.18
Rashid 6.10
Willey 6.02
Woakes 5.93
Plunkett 5.90
Jordan 5.84
Wood 5.83

compared to

Rankin 4.53
Swann 4.54
Tredwell 4.75
Ali 4.86
Bopara 4.91
Anderson 4.92

Lewis Gregory and Olly Stone withdrawn from EPP squads due to back injuries.

Josh Tongue and Felix Organ sound like characters from a Carry On film. Possibly played by Jim Dale and Kenneth Connor respectively.
Well Meaker was sharing a room with Tom Curran at Potchefstroom. No mention of him being on the tour or if he went to UAE with the rest of the fast bowlers.

I am disappointed they put the innings the wrong way around on the scorecard.
Though actually, since both innings lasted exactly 20 overs, it's quite hard to tell (if you judge just by the scorecard) where the mistake is ... maybe the England Lions won by 4 runs?

Yes a weird scorecard. I had to read the report to see who batted first. We were chasing. I think had we batted first there would be more sixes.

Has Mark Wood resumed bowling after his injury?
