It doesn't quite read right does it?!

No wonder Gale & Yorks are a tad miffed. Weird.

Vince not having a good time, 0 in the warm up game and 6 13 2 0 after all the runs with England's 20/20 team.

I would open with Whiteley and Malan and also with Willey and Roy in the England team.

I wonder if he is playing himself out of the World T20 squad? Another couple of duff performances and Dawid Malan might steal his place.

I think so too, Malan also bowls.

Vince forgot about Overton. Only got 1 over.
Strange wicket, no one can get any runs.

England Lions win the fourth game by 5 wickets following 61 not out from Sam Billings. Nice too see Tom Curran get a game and return outstanding figures (2-15). I think him and his brother have a very bright future.

England Lions are 84-2 off 11 overs chasing 166 to win their series against Pakistan A. More runs for Dawid Malan.

The Lions have snatched a tie from the jaws of victory with Dawid Malan run out for 81 from the final ball. The fact they only managed 7 runs from overs 18 and 19 combined ultimately cost them the series. I don't think there is a Super Over.

Edit - there is a Super Over after all.

Tom Curran defended 12 in the Super Over so the Lions win the series.

Heroic stuff from Ross Whitely - 5 from 12 balls to ensure the extra experience of a Super Over.

I think Vince has played himself out of the T20 World Cup side (26 runs in 5 innings at a S/R of 70.27) and Malan has played himself in (223 runs at 50.60 at a S/R of 131.77).

Topley (who bowled the most overs for the Lions, 18.4 at an e/r 6.8) and Billings (171 runs at 42.75 at a s/r of 133.59) have cemented their places.

Tom Curran would be the bolter, having only come into the team for the last two matches after Finn's elevation to the seniors.

That should set off a new Gulf War when spoilt kid Craig gets a decision turned down and tells the batsman to eff off back to his own country.

Does anyone know why they aren't picking Sam Curran? I like Tom but Sam looks the more talented of the two, with bat and ball.

Do England ever pick 17 year olds for the Lions? Sam Curran is in the under 19 squad for their world cup. There's also a limit to how much school he can miss.

Sam Curran is playing for England U19s at the moment and is due to play in the U19 world cup so I guess they are trying to raise him up through the ranks slowly.

A win and a loss in the two warm up games against UAE XI.

In the first match the Lions chased down 210 fairly comfortably with Vince (88) and Westley (57*) top scoring.

The second game was much closer with UAE winning it in the last over with two wickets remaining. Vince top scored again with 58. Jamie Overton hit 57 off 35 balls and then bowled four overs for 10 runs before leaving the field with an injury.

The Lions play their first 'unofficial ODI' of five against Pakistan A on wednesday.

Wonder if Plunkett will be called up to the ODI squad if Finn still has a stiff side.

The Lions gave bowled out Pakistan A for 192 in the first of the 5 match 50 over series. Tom Curran with 3-29 and Craig Overton with 2-33. No specialist spinner for the Lions - Tom Westley and Liam Dawson bowled 18 overs between them.
