Wasn't there talk of stopping first class status from uni matches because they were not close to being first class? Did I dream that or were plans shelved?

I only ask because quite a few batsman around the country are getting to their ton and walking off. It seems odd they would given the fixation with first class averages.

There was and I can't remember what happened. I do recall that not all unis were fc, but that may have been superceded.

EDit: looking at cricinfo Jack Grundy made his fc debut last week against Worcestershire. It therefore seems that these matches do have fc status.

Capey 17% of the way to 1000 runs before the end of May

Good stuff. I want him to score runs and be waiting for a call up but not get one because england continue their remarkable run of wins.

Depending on who is in charge of the plans, they might now have been shelved permanently or rushed through to include today's match.

Given the focus on players in mid thirties who played for England 7 or 8 years ago....Paul collingwood 5 for 45 at Taunton. What a shambles.

Isn't it something like the early season ones are FC but not later ones?

If it does count its generous. Just seen some of the highlights and I would fancy my chances of hitting a few boundaries on that ground.

52* for Borthwick and a couple of wickets for Gregory at Taunton
Sam Billings made a century in his uni match.

What's the difference? That seems very weird reasoning.

So it was not first class then? So kp has scored the same amount of first class runs as me in the last 12 months!

I don't think we know for sure. Have you got money on this?
