Lol nice try.

People on this board crack me up. slate the selectors but we won't pick out best spin bowler because he will have to bat 8 and his batting is too good for that. Number 8 should not average 25 with the bat so let's pick a worse bowler so we don't waste a batsman at 8.

That logic is outstanding.

Meanwhile elsewhere James Taylor top-scored with 61 for Notts.

Finn 17-6-41-0.

Or at least he would have if Chris Read hadn't top-scored with 101 not out?

Willey hit a century yesterday after taking 4/72 in Gloucestershire's first innings.

Geraint Jones hit 80.

Unless he's got a lot quicker Willey should be nowhere near International cricket. Harry Gurney wasn't quick enough and didn't offer enough swing or movement and I can't believe that Willey is a major improvement.

Technically counts as Scotchland player watch at the moment, but Matt Machan has got 100 off about 70 balls batting at 3 for Sussex. He was on 87 but lost the strike a bit towards the end I think to stop him getting the century before lunch.

Kumar Sangakkara has scored a century. I know he's not English but he is test pedigree so a good comparator for KP.

Davies is closing in on a ton as well while Hales (who comes from an 'Outside Cricket' family to answer Psy's question) is closing in on a double.

Not a fair comparison. You can't compare someone who is up there with the best of his generation with someone who can play amazing innings now and then.

Let's just compare kp to the rest of the Surrey team

Just goes to show what a good team man Capey is. If he was the team cancer that some people think he is would Surrey be in such a good position now?
