Lol. Hum this song to yourself. "You are always on my mind..." You are obsessed man. You know full well that I did not link rogers to hales rather I pointed out that anyone pointing to an Aussie selection as proof of what we should do could point at anyone. Don't let that stop you though because I like having my own little stalker. Xxxx

More seriously re Hales - we should keep an eye on him for sure. Shoe in for odi side but our test number 3 averages 75 so we should stick with him for now.

I wonder if Hales will be considered for an opening berth or is he classed as a middle order player now?

I don't think it was you who classed him as a limited over specialist, so perhaps you are thinking too highly of yourself. Are you ****ed?

He's got no chance, particularly if Adam Lyth cant even get a gig. We've got to see how long Trott gets to prove he's not an opener. (Probably most of the summer)

It was me who brought up rogers. Not drunk.

Hildreth is going to have a huge year this season. Mark my words.

We seem to have many options for batsmen but not many bowling options. Hales has never looked impressive when opening in four day cricket, but seems to found his spot at number three. Unfortunately for him, on current form England have the best number three in Test cricket.

Yes but that no3 is a county no5 so no reason why Hales should only be picked if we need a replacement at 3. He would still be behind Lyth though in my reckoning if we need to replace trott

I'm a fan of Hales but you can't seriously be suggesting Ballance should be moved down the order. He has proven himself as a world class Test number three.

Apologies. I don't think Hales has a great record opening for Notts though. Then gain it's not like England always pick players in their best positions. I would say opening in Test cricket is a more specialist position and Lees and Lyth should be considered first.

Lyth yes, Lees I'd give more time

Wouldn't see any particular reason to move Ballance down if for some reason we were to pick Hales in the middle order but equally, I don't think he'd somehow stop being any good if he batted at 4 or 5 rather than 3. The gap does appear to be at opener though and certainly Lyth ought to be the obvious choice there. Were Trott to be retained, say he had a good third test and Bell got injured, it would make more sense for him to go to 3 and Lyth open and not get too caught up on Ballance being at 3.

Golden duck for Petersen innit. The original post was a parody of Sir Virgs and his band of merry haters.

HahahahahHa breathe hahahahahaha.

I am pretty sure parody accounts are meant to be funny and make sense. Sadly your post did neither.

How many first class innings without a ton is it for kp now? Is it almost 20? I appreciate it is hard for his followers to admit but he was on the decline in test cricket in the way he had already declined in ODI cricket. I wish we could all remember his brilliance between 2005 and 2012. It is a shame a brilliant player is being made to look foolish.
