Did he? Almost certainly following a signal, then.

One may not have experienced such things and therefore believe they can never happen but, at the higher levels of cricket, they do.

Is cricket at a high level in slow motion? Mo saw him coming and you reckon still had time to signal that he was bowling wide? Goodness me.

Just because you can't imagine it being the case doesn't mean it didn't happen, just that's beyond your comprehension. D/L operates at a higher level than us and I'm beginning to wonder if it's a chemically/herbally induced higher level.

No really, there is a far more prosaic explanation.

It'd be worrying if I needed to resort to such things for some discussions on here.

No chance at all then, the ball was always going to go down the leg side? Too difficult to contemplate, I suppose.

I can only presume you have not seen the incident or you would not be posting this complete guff.

Good point.

Of course, with anything, one has to have actually seen it to have an idea of what may have happened.

For "complete guff", perhaps you should look a little closer to home.

I always think we've hit Peak Stupid on this board. Then I see the signal that another is going to be delivered.

Jesus, what utter rubbish.

How you haven't been banned from this place I'll never know. I'd put you back on block but it's pointless as you fall out with everyone so I always see the stupid posts anyway.

I'm limited to the occasional la, la, la in the general vicinity of the worst of it by the terms of my bet with gbg, so you're safe on my account.

TBF you were up there for the worst culprit. Although your patience was incredibly admirable.

There are probably many things you'll never know, for example what a team may discuss between themselves on the field of play.

In the likely absence of insight on your part, I thought I'd put the three posts in the same place to help you see how typically silly your position is, not that I think it'll help.

It is, of course, a perpetual fear that you'd come up with a brilliantly witty retort. One cleverly adapted from playground memories, perhaps.

Re communication between bowler and keeper, I wonder if you realise that what you are saying is, "I didn't see any secret signal, therefore there couldn't have been one".

Priceless.

Keep it up, Confucius.

The day I comment completely incorrectly on an incident in a game I haven't even seen, you've got me.

What's really amusing is your claim not to have seen something that is designed not to be seen, saying it therefore could not have happened and your seeming not to understand why that should be so amusing.

Brilliant.
