Let's face it: he'll be nominating Malcolm, Tufnell and Mullally.

Not looking forward to it as I should be. My nephews should make sure I don't miss the start. Just glad it is at a civilised hour!

I am at my mother's until Monday (She's blind so no Sky here). So I rely on you guys to tell me if the TMS radio guys are talking out of their ass or not. Starts about 6, doesn't it Maggi. I suppose you could call that "civilised" at a pinch. Can anybody give me radio frequencies for TMS. 5 live or the long wave stuff? Start about 6, I think? If Jimmy is crocked, that just about gives the Saffers an even chance doesn't it? I reckon they'll play Woody as opposed to Woakes or Footit. Don't know if he's even in the squad though.

What odds did you get? Better than 10/1? I hope.

Fred Trueman? The batsman. Oh dear me no. He got in as 8 for Yorks cos he had Binks, Wilson (D) and Nicholson to come later. Steve Finn is a better bat.

Woakes should be included in that race and so should stokes because these pitches will suit him. Obviously after his demolition job in the warm up match moeen is in and Jimmy might be back for rest of the series (possibly for Finn after Woakes wins this match).

Jimmy/Broad/Finn - won't be anyone else.

Looks like a delayed start due to rain..

Staffers win and bowl unsurprisingly.

Team as expected.

England are batting first after losing the toss. It may be a bit helpful early on but I wonder that if a careful start might see it not being the worst situation. Hopefully Hales doesn't shoulder arms...............

Yet another toss won by the home side (the fourth toss in a row Cook has called incorrectly) and England are put into bat. Not the start I was hoping for.

Maybe an innings of 7 off 50 or whatever it was Alex Hales hit the other day might not be so bad if he sees off the worst of the conditions... :P

I'm so excited about this series.

I fly out Thursday so have to make do with dodgy streams until them.

This is where we get a reminder that no matter how much the media talk up Jimmy and broad that steyn is a bit better!

Incredibly risky for saffers to opt to bat last vs moeen.

Looks like a horrible morning to open the batting but the pitch should turn later on. England need to post a score good enough to keep them in the match.

Horrible nibble there from Cook and he's taken at slip. That's a big wicket for SA. Mike Haysman has pointed out that no other England batsman has played a test in SA.
